As of Summer 2018 there are a number of changes being made to the Red Tractor assurance scheme requirements. One change is a recommendation that:

‘at least one member of staff responsible for giving medicines to livestock has undergone training in the handling and administration of medicines’.

Black Sheep are running our ‘Mastering Medicines’ course throughout the summer that fulfils this Red Tractor recommendation. The course will be useful for:

  • Farmers producing food to Red Tractor standards, as well as other assurance schemes.
  • Self-employed stockpeople looking to up-skill and work to a high standard.
  • Any livestock keeper who is looking for a refresher on best practice for veterinary medicines.

The course is also a great opportunity to quiz us on any animal health topic while you’re here.

Courses for June and July have already been booked up, so we have opened a September date:

Tuesday 4th September, 18:00-20:00

£40 ex.VAT including dinner and a certificate of attendance. The course is held at Black Sheep Farm Health, Unit 4A Rothbury Industrial Estate.

Ring the practice on 01669 838 288 to book your place.
