Emili Canavan-Hicks BVMS MRCVS

Emili graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2022. After seeing practice with Black Sheep as a student, Emili joined the practice as a new graduate. Growing up in North Shropshire around cattle and sheep, Emili enjoys all aspects of farm vetting and loves to see how production systems vary between farms in order to fit the landscape and in order to meet different production goals.

Since joining Black Sheep, Emili has been involved in the practice social media and newsletter, as well as contributing towards practice events such as the small holder meetings and lambing course.

Outside of work, Emili spends time exploring all that Northumberland has to offer- particularly the beaches and castles- with her dog, Fly. Emili also enjoys baking and hopes to get a small number of chickens to supply fresh eggs for cakes!
